Prospect Hill’s amazing run of success continued when they beat St. John’s in the Parry Cup final.

St John’s fought hard but were undone as goals from Kian Smith (2), Sonny Irons and Zak Berridge helped Prospect to retain the 93-year-old trophy.

Played at Harworth Colliery and admirably refereed by Shaun Donnelly and young assistants Liam Marsh and Aaron Mallender, it was a wonderful advert for primary schools football.

Already district seven-a-side champions and Division One winners, Prospect also reached the final of the Champion of Champions tournament for the Worksop Guardian Shield, beating Gateford Park 5-0 with goals from Smith (3) and Irons (2).

In the final next Tuesday they will meet Priory, Division Four champions, who beat Division Two’s Norbridge 5-2, Callum Wright (2), Nathan Calvert (2) and Jamie Towell on target.

The Norbridge girls who reached their Champion of Champions final with a 3-1 defeat of Misterton and now face East Markham or Redlands.
