Worksop's Matty Templeton delighted to sign new Barnsley deal
The 19-year-old has impressed Oakwell officials for the under-21s this season and was rewarded with his first senior appearance in the Capital One Cup in August.
His third appearance - a home league debut to Blackpool - was certainly the most memorable as he swept home a sweet strike to secure three points in stoppage time at Oakwell.

“I’m enjoying my training and my football as there are some great coaches here. I’m grateful to everyone in the Academy and the gaffer for helping me so far.
“To make my home debut and score was a dream come true. I’m determined to work hard and make more memories like my home debut.”
Barnsley head coach Lee Johnson added: “I’m really happy for Matty and he knows that the hard work starts now. He has some standout attributes and I’m delighted he has chosen to continue his development with us.”
