Parry has brought nine players from his previous club Pontefract Collieries, including one-time Polish international Sebastian Malkowski and James Baxendale, who has made over 100 appearances for Walsall in the Football League.

The 36-year-old has also signed Oscar Radford and Gavin Allott from Maltby Main, as well as retaining seven players from last season’s squad.

“We have brought in players that we have worked with over the past few seasons who have been successful for us,” said Parry.

“However, it isn’t just about the players who we have brought from our previous club, it is about the squad as a whole that we have put together and everyone will get an equal chance to be in the starting XI and the matchday squad.

“We are excited about the squad that we have put together, with one or two players that we are wanting to add.

“The guys that we have retained are players who we have seen previously and there are a few who we have wanted to sign at previous clubs.

“The young players have shown an ambition to come and prove to us that they want to be here and want to prove that they want to play for Worksop Town.

“They have shown a drive to work with us and the full squad, so I am happy that they have shown that ambition and I am looking forward to working with them as well.”

Parry’s assistant Craig Rouse stated that the blend of ages and abilities at the club is something they have happily worked with before.

He added: “I think throughout our four years at Pontefract, we had a nucleus of young players and you need leaders in there who can guide the young players.

“Players like Jake Picton, Jimmy Williams, Gavin Allott and Ozzy (Oscar Radford) will all need to contribute and put an arm around them when needed.

“Every player has a massive part to play from now until the end of the season, so for us, we cannot wait to get started and help the lad’s gel like we have done in previous times.”
