Blues boss Dom Roma is hopeful of having the 19-year-old on board for the Saturday’s match with Tamworth, having agreed a deal with the midfielder’s parent club Barnsley.

“The deal is almost across the line,” Roma told the Lincolnshire Echo. “Everything has been agreed, we just have to sign the paperwork.

“He is a young player, but has already had some decent experience so we will hopefully have everything sorted in time for him to play on Saturday.”

Roma described the Worksop-born Templeton as “direct, quick and likes to take players on” while adding the teenager has what it takes to endure the rigours of the National League North.

Trinity’s move for Templeton came after an injury earlier in the week to Darnelle Bailey-King, while Roma hinted there could be another new face in the squad come Saturday.
