Worksop Town’s 3-2 win over Ashton United on Saturday was a ‘brutal encounter’ according to boss Mark Shaw.
The Tigers boss was delighted to see his side pick up their second home win in four days, with goals from Leon Mettam, Tom Denton and substitute Jamie Jackson.
There were a number of on-field flare ups, and a scrum involving players and staff from both sides in the Worksop technical area late on.
The full-time whistle was also followed by angry scenes, before Tigers could celebrate a vital three points against a fellow promotion hopeful.
In our video interview, which includes a cameo appearance from an excited Shane Clarke, Shaw lauds Jackson for his late impact.
