Owls striker Lucas Joao has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for November in the Championship.
The 22-year-old, brought in for an undisclosed fee from Nacional last summer, stepped up off the bench to score a double in Wednesday’s come-from-behind victory over Huddersfield Town.
He also came on as a second half replacement a week later at Blackburn Rovers and grabbed a late equaliser as the Owls rescued a point at Ewood Park.
The prize caps a fine month for Joao, who earned his first international cap. Joao, who has found the back of the net seven times this season, featured in Portugal’s friendlies with Russia and Luxembourg.
It is the third month in a row a Wednesday player has scooped the prize. Ross Wallace and Fernando Forestieri have previously picked up the award.
