Under 8 teams make history

The players and coaches of Marshalls Sports Under 8s are preparing for their league debuts in the Scunthorpe Caparo Junior League.

After two years of coaching, the youngsters will make history, as the club can field two Under 8s teams for the first time.

The Warriors, coached by Nic Clover, Ben Spurr and Dave Jones, are kindly sponsored by Dave Bembridge Decor, and will play in the Supreme League. Under the guidance of Phil Overton and Ross Burnett, the Vikings will carry the logo of ICO Polymers as they participate in the Premier League.

Marshalls Sports FC would like to thank both sponsors for their generosity, extend their congratulations to both Phil and Ross for passing their FA Level 1 course last weekend and wish both teams good luck for the season. The club are looking to recruit Under 9 players for their two Kerry Youth League teams. Any current school Year 4 boys or girls wanting are welcome.

The Minnows section of Marshalls Sports continues to provide coaching sessions every Saturday from 9.30am at the Marshalls Sports Field.

The sessions are for boys and girls between the ages of four and seven .

All sessions are £1.50 per child and participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear and shin pads and to bring a drink.
