U10s look competitive

AFTER only three weeks of the Kerry Gainsborough Youth Football League the U10s League is looking very interesting with four teams on six points each.

Forrest Rangers had a good 6-1 home win over Ordsall Rangers with goals from R. Bull (two), S. Deague (two), S. Hutchinson and A. Clayton, while Blyth had a 4-2 victory over Marshalls, J. Clark scoring for the Gainsborough team.

In the U9s League Trinity had a fine 5-1 away win at new club Saxilby with goals from K. Morton (two), Bevin-Eyre, H. Williamson and R. Blanchard. Saxilby goalkeeper L. Smith produced some excellent saves.

Retford United continued their 100 per cent record with a 4-1 win at Marshalls, Forrest Rangers beat Babworth Rovers 2-0 with goals from Josh Piper and Alex Bull, and Ordsall Rangers beat Midtown 7-1.

In the U8s League Marshalls and Babworth played out a superb 4-4 draw, Retford United beat Misterton 7-1 and newly formed Midtown lost 19-0 at unbeaten Walesby.

Fixtures for 1st October: U8s - Gains Trinity v Forrest Rgrs.

U9s - Ordsall Rgrs v Saxilby; Blyton v Blyth.

U10s - Marshalls v Ordsall Rgrs; Gains Trinity v Misterton.
