Top goalscorer signs for Retford

The striker moved to NCEL Premier side Retford from Shirebrook Town on Wednesday afternoon.

Haslam will be available for Saturday’s game against Lincoln Moorlands at Cannon Park on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old is currently the top scorer in the league with 12 goals in all competitions and will certainly be a crowd favourite for the Badgers.

Retford manager Brett Marshall has worked with Haslam at Blidworth and is delighted to have finally got his man.

He said “Haslam will bring something that very few players have - he can change a game in a second and will be talked about in the same manner as some of the Retford greats.”

He added “I’m sure Carl will be a crowd pleaser and he certainly is a character to say the leas. I am positive the fans will take to him instantly.”
