WORKSOP Town got their pre-season off to a winning start today at Harrogate Railway.
Tigers won 3-2 with goals coming from new signings Adam Muller and Marc Roberts, and a header from Luke Shiels.
There were a number of new faces in the ranks, including former Nottingham Forest academy player Tom Mullen.
The Worksop teenager was hoping to impress Tigers boss Martin McIntosh as he looks to get back into the game following his release by Billy Davies last season.
McIntosh told the Guardian he was pleased with today’s run out.
“I’m really happy with it, the players have a decent level of fitness for this stage already.”
“Tom Mullen came on with half an hour to go, and there are one or two lads who are not signed yet that I’m taking a look at.”
“We’re shaping up okay.”
