Worksop Town hope to have a new manager in by the end of the week.
Tigers have been without a full time manager since Jon Kennedy opted out of continuing in the post after the final game of the 2016/17 season.
“We have been astounded by the great response towards the vacancy for first team manager,” said a Tigers spokesperson. “It has been a meticulous process shortlisting and interviewing the ideal candidates.
“It is more important than ever that we get the appointment right after the challenging campaign we endured of last. We are approaching the final stages now and can say that we hope to appoint our new manager by the end of the week.
“It is vital the club have a season of stability on and off the pitch in order to grow and develop our proud football club once again.”
