Worksop Town will only look to add new players if they will make marked improvements to the 2018/19 squad.
Assistant manager Rob Poulter told the Guardian that the management team have a fair idea of their starting line-up for the league opener, before pre-season fixtures have even began.
Speaking after the club’s first training session this week, he said: “I said to a few of the lads, we’ve got what we’re going to be going with for the first week of the season in for the start of pre-season.
“Craig has done a really good job in terms of getting people in.
“We have got a picture in mind of the team but we’re quite flexible.
“People might come along and surprise us, someone might become available who we don’t know about, someone who could improve us.
“We’re not far off.
“Probably not that many more will be added, only people who would really, really improve us.”
Poulter was impressed with the fitness levels of players reporting for training.
“We can see lads have definitely been doing their own work,” he said.
