Tigers 2 Ferriby 1

MATT Young’s goal five minutes from time proved to be the difference as Worksop Town beat North Ferriby 2-1 in the first home game of the season at Sandy Lane.

Tigers found themselves a goal down with barely two minutes on the clock through Danny Clarke who made the most of some slack defending.

Ferriby will be kicking themselves for not extending their lead before the break as the home side looked at sixes and sevens.

A few choice words at the break by manager Simon Clark saw Tigers come out for the second half with renewed optimism.

Bruno Holden rose to nod in a Leon Mettam cross to level the scores before Young stepped off the bench to complete the comeback and send the home supporters into ecstasy.
