Three Legged Stool feel penalty was wrong call

Three defensive errors and a controversial penalty decision cost Three Legged this game.

Crerand opened the scoring with a header, but Stanley Street were right back into it when they pounced on a mistake.

One soon became two after a further defensive error and a third goal followed with goalkeeper Staff and defender Joyce clashing together which left an open goal.

The second half was all Three Legged Stool, and Staff moved up front to causedproblems from the off.

Ingham made it 3-2 with a great strike from outside the box.

Staff should’ve made it 3-3 but shot high after a great first touch.

Legged got their well deserved third goal as Turner headed in from two yards.

But five minutes from time Stanley Street’s forward went to the ground in the box and was awarded a penalty which was a disputed decision.

The penalty was dispatched well and Stanley Street held on for the win.

Three Legged showed real heart and determination but felt that they had points taken away from them.

Emeralds 1

Three Lions struggled early on in this match, playing the first 10 minutes with just 10 men, but once they settled they outplayed their visitors.

Both teams made the game a very interesting watch but Three Lions overpowered Emeralds.

Jason Edwards and Alex Bromley both netted hat-tricks, Scott Edwards adding the seventh.
