Tigers’ boss Simon Clark has moved to deny rumours he has applied for the Lincoln City job and says he is committed to Worksop Town.

Clark told the Guardian he has been approached by media in Lincoln asking whether he would be applying for the post, which has been vacant since David Holdsworth parted company with the Imps.

“I am committed to Worksop Town for this season and absolutely and entirely happy with my staff and players,” he said.

“We are looking to achieve something here and to leave now is not something I am even considering.”

“I have not sent an application for the job into the football club and I have not spoken to the chairman once about the situation there.”

“I am a Lincolnshire lad and a fan of Lincoln City but I have had not contact with them about this.”
