The Tigers will be expected to do some homework before Saturday’s second training session of pre-season.

Assistant manager Rob Poulter said: “We go again on Saturday and we’ve asked them to do a little bit of stuff on their own before the England game, which we’ll expect them to do and we’ve asked for proof.

“They’ll be sending a screengrab of a run, from one of the running apps that’s available.

“On Saturday we’ll probably notch things up a little bit.”

One of the reasons that the intensity will be increased this weekend is that the players coped so well with the first session in midweek.

“We had a good turnout, we were only missing three or four from what we would consider the lads we’re trying to bring in,” said Poulter.

“All the lads did well, considering the weather and how difficult that made it, there was a great attitude.

“They had a good go.

“We got the balls out and did a bit of a possession session with fitness work and some work on being out of possession.

“We asked them after if it was hard enough for them.

“The first session back is about gauging where everyone is at fitness wise.”
