Speaking at today’s press briefing, Carvalhal said: “We will be 100 per cent ready for the game. We know it will be difficult.

“We know it will be tough. There are no easy games in the Championship.

“But we are confident as we are playing well.”

The Portuguese head coach has confirmed Sam Hutchinson, Kieran Lee and Jack Hunt will be involved, having shaken off their injury problems. Hunt will be battling it out with Liam Palmer for the full-back spot.

“We believe that Sam, Kieran and Jack will be okay,” he said. “It’s hard for a coach when you lose players through injuries.
