Chairman Dejphon Chansiri insists the Owls’ football committee system will benefit the Championship club in the long-term in the wake of Paul Senior and Jonathan Hill’s departures.
It was confirmed yesterday morning that Senior and Hill had left their roles as advisers to Chansiri after just over six months as part of the management structure at Hillsborough.
Senior, who previously held recruitment positions at Tottenham Hotspurs and Charlton Athletic, and former Fulham first-team coach Hill were tasked with the job of working together alongside Glenn Roeder to assist with player recruitment. Senior was appointed shortly before Adam Pearson left to become executive director at Leeds United while Hill joined the committee two days after Pearson’s exit.
Chansiri said: “I have enjoyed working with both Jonathan and Paul, their input during the start of my ownership period has been most helpful. As I stated when I announced the formation of the committee, it will continue to evolve ensuring we harvest the best advice possible from worldwide experts within our industry.
“I have quickly built up a global network of trusted advisors and I am confident the committee will continue to build further on the success I believe we have already achieved during the summer transfer window.”
