Leon Mettam has set tongues wagging this season with his blistering form and 36 goals, and this goal might be the pick of the bunch.

The Worksop Town striker, currently making his way back to full fitness after an ankle knock, scored a hat-trick against Ilkeston on Boxing Day and this was his third goal.

Various reports in the press have linked Mettam with league clubs, including Sheffield United, Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers.

Tigers have remained tight lipped on the subject however, and Mettam himself has played down speculation.

The Northern Premier promotion hopefuls will have their fingers crossed that the 27-year-old returns to the side this weekend when they travel to Barwell, after three defeats in the three games he’s missed.
