The Sheffield United centre-forward was substituted during the first-half of Monday’s victory over Bradford City and, according to manager Nigel Adkins, is in danger of missing the meeting with Graham Westley’s side.

“Matty came off with a hamstring injury,” Adkins said. “We don’t know the severity of it yet. It’s too early to say. But I think it is fair to assume that he’s going to be a massive doubt for Peterborough.”

Losing Done, who has started United’s last five matches, would represent a major blow to Adkins’ hopes of maintaining the consistent team selections he credits with helping them piece together four straight wins. Che Adams, however, could fill the void after completing the three game suspension imposed following his sending-off against Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup earlier this month. Ryan Flynn and Jose Baxter, now back in the fold after a series of fitness and disciplinary issues, are also options if, as expected, Done fails to recover.

“Che is okay to play against now,” Adkins said. “He would have been ready for Bradford but, with the game on Boxing Day 9at Wigan) being postponed, the ban rolled over for the next one.”
