Shaw leaves Tigers by mutual consent

CHRIS Shaw’s spell with Worksop Town has come to an end, after just 45 minutes of football.

The left-back departed the club this week, ending his contract by mutual consent.

Shaw, previously with Hednesford and Eastwood, was hauled off after a poor performance in his competitive debut at Ashton, and hasn’t featured since.

Manager Simon Clark said: “We had some problems with him in pre-season, wanting to live elsewhere and cancel his contract but we stuck with him.”

“But he was poor at Ashton, and with Shaw it was never his fault.”
