Senior players to assist caretaker Lake

WORKSOP Town have appointed coach Andy Lake as caretaker manager for tomorrow’s trip to Chorley.

Lake will be assisted by club captain James Cotterill, and last season’s skipper Matt Young.

Tigers parted company with manager Martin McIntosh on Monday of this week.

Club chairman Jason Clark spoke to the Guardian this week of his wish to find a replacement as soon as possible.

“We’ve had loads of quality applicants this week.”

“I would like to move quickly, we obviously need to ensure stability and try to ressurect the season.”

Worksop have won just once in 11 outings this season, ahead of the trip to high flying Chorley tomorrow.
