School sides back into the action after winter rest

As schools prepare to resume league matches after the winter break, Sturton-le-Steeple and Everton were the first back into action.

Sturton recorded convincing home and away 4 -0 and 6-0 victories against Everton that took Sturton to the top of the Division Six league table.

George Dimmock, Rachel Warner, Hugh Shelley, George Forrest, Jake Sykes and Charlie Wright were all on target as Sturton showed their all-round strength.

Bassetlaw Boys are scheduled to play their twice postponed County Cup semi-final against Eastwood Boys at Harworth on Saturday when manager Alan Pressley has again named the following squad: Byron Bates, Riley Garfitt (St. Anne’s); Jasper Dennison, Kian Smith, Jack Garsden, Luke Morris (Prospect Hill); Bradley Charlesworth (St. John’s); Billy Stafford, Henry Millership (Carr Hill); Nathan Calvert (Priory); Corie Cole (Ryton Park); Bradley Fong (Sir Edmund Hillary).
