Ridley on loan to Tigers

TRINITY defender Lee Ridley has gone on loan to Worksop Town for a month, having been unable to dislodge Josh Wilde from the left-back position.

Youngster Wilde was signed from Buxton in pre-season, and Steve Housham lauded his performances, along with wishing Ridley well on loan.

“Josh has come in this season and done really well, he’s exceeded expectations to be fair,” said the Trinity boss.

“Lee has been out of the side and we do have to balance the books somehow.”

“He needs games and it’s great that he’s been able to go there, hopefully he’ll do well.”

Former Scunthorpe left-back Ridley, 30, made his debut for Worksop in the second half at AFC Fylde on Saturday, in a 2-2 draw.
