Retford girls thump Mansfield for seven

A clean sheet for Amelia Huddlestone in net, a strong defence that never gave the visitors an inch and a hard working midfield provided great through balls for Lucy Farrow to net five and captain Chloe Waugh to bag a brace.

The girls start the new year sat at the top of the Notts Girls and Ladies League with a full fixture list ahead of them, and three cup competitions up for grabs.

The squad includes Waugh, Huddlestone, Baker, Whittall, Bennett, Baines, Wilson, Edwards, Neale and Farrow.

Retford United Under 14 Girls are looking for new players, in school years 8 and 9.

Anyone interested should come to a training session at Elizabethann High School from 7pm to 8pm on Tuesdays.
