New Worksop Town boss 'excited' by project ahead

Parry, who joined the club from NPL North West challengers Pontefract Collieries, is also hoping to execute his attacking philosophy into a new-look Worksop side for next season.

Parry stated: “It is an exciting project and we are ready to get going once we are all safe and well, and when everything is back to normal.

“It has always been a club that I have admired from a distance. It is obviously a large club for this level and I think that any manager who has managed the club over the last couple of years, one of the attractions when you weigh it up is that it is a National League size club, and after speaking with Pete, to understand the ambitions of what he wants to put in place and the ins and outs of the club, it was too good of an attraction to turn down.

“I believe in football one way and that is for it to be fast, quick, and attacking. I believe the best way to defend is to attack, so expect goals and to be on the edge of your seat with excitement.

“That is my philosophy and the way I believe in, which is positivity and keeping things positive and going one way.

“Hopefully I can bring that joy and level of football that I like to play and I want to implement it into Worksop.”

Also joining Parry at Worksop are his management team, which consists of Craig Rouse, Luke Jeffs and Mark Whitehouse.

The new boss stated that he and his staff are like one big family and hopes that the remarkable success that they created at Pontefract, can be brought to the Tigers.

Parry added: “From a management team, we work very well together.

“Craig Rouse and I started the project and our management careers together. My official title is manager; however, I see us as one anyway and that is exactly the same with the whole management team, whose knowledge and work ethic will only benefit this club.

“We’re one big family and we’re one big unit and I am proud to have them with me and I am hoping we can carry on this success together at Worksop.”
