Dunn was with Craig Parry at Pontefract Collieries for the whole of the manager's reign in West Yorkshire, and speaks highly of his boss.

Dunn said: “I’m excited to get going, really. I can’t wait, especially with everything that has been happening with the pandemic at the minute.

“I would more or less put the different divisions down to fitness. I would also put it down to teams being more clinical in front of goal than others – I wouldn’t say there are any big gaps between each division.

“It has been hard [without football], especially with watching it as well. It is difficult when you're used to going out and playing. The past couple of weeks I’ve managed to kick a ball, but apart from that, it has been a case of doing some running, really.”

Like most of the players that have come to Worksop, Dunn is confident that the Tigers will hit the ground running, as a massive season seems to be creeping ever closer.

He said: “I think we can kick on from where we left off. [Craig Parry] doesn’t change anything. He’s a good manager and I’ve been with him for the past four years, so yeah, I love playing for him.

“I like to run in behind defenders; I can be a bit tricky on the ball. I have an eye for a goal, and I also like to set up goals too.”

Dunn met up with his new team-mates for the first time following Worksop’s recent return to training.

It is hoped the new Northern Premier League South East Division season will begin on September 19.
