Worksop Town and McDonalds have dished out season tickets to the winners of a ‘design a kit’ competition.
Customer care manager at the Worksop McDonald’s franchise, Linda Jordan, selected the best from the dozens of entries drawn up by local youngsters.
And franchise owner Bob Meadowcroft joined players and staff from Worksop Town to present the season tickets on Saturday morning.
Lewie Taylor, 14, Serena Ellis, 4, Harry Taylor-Davis, 6, Eva Chambers, 7, and Elizabeth Clayton, 7, were the winning designers.
Tigers chairman Kev Keep was delighted with the success of the campaign.
He said: “I attended the presentation on Saturday and to be honest it was hard to see who was the most excited, Linda and Bob Or the winning entrants that had come to store to collect their well-deserved prize.
“This competition fantastically supported by McDonalds is just what the Worksop community should be proud to be part of, with families of winners in the community giveaway getting the chance to attend all home league games.
“Worksop Town FC are very honoured to have been chosen for the community project and would like to thank all involved in making it a reality for the five families that can now come and roar on the Tigers.”
With entry to Worksop games free for under 10s, the season tickets will allow the winners’ families to attend home games together.
Keep added: “Thanks go to Linda and Bob and all their staff at McDonald’s for making the morning very enjoyable and their generous offer of hospitality to all that attended.
“And special thanks to supporter Rich Nelson who put this project together.”
