Worksop Town are opening the gates to the area’s children on Saturday for the visit of Grantham Town.
Kids will go free, when accompanied by a paying adult, and boss Mark Shaw has been touring local schools to spread the word.
“I’ve been into 12 schools in Worksop and done some assemblies, talked to the kids about the history of the club, and the encouragement side of sport,” he said.
“The schools have been fantastic, the head teachers are so receptive to developing a link with the club, and I think there’s great potential there to grow the relationship between the club and the community.”
Tigers, currently on an eight-game unbeaten streak in the league, sit third in the table after one of their best starts to a season in recent history.
They’re becoming known for their entertainment value as well, having scored 67 goals in just 22 league games.
