Tigers boss Mark Shaw confirmed experienced goalkeeper Kennedy has been handed the armband for the 2016/17 campaign.
Shaw said: “He brings a wealth of experience and has a great amount of respect from not just me but the players too.
“He’s a fantastic character and will lead on the pitch.
“I can 100 per cent rely on him and I’ve no doubt he will repay us this season.”
