JJ confirms BPA move

TIGERS fan favourite Jamie Jackson has confirmed he has signed for Bradford Park Avenue.

The Conference North club announced the signing weeks ago, but Jackson tweeted today to confirm it was a done deal.

Signed by Peter Rinkcavage during the 2009/10 season, Jackson often thrilled Tigers fans with some spectacular goals and trickery.

The striker played 113 times during Rinkcavage, Martin McIntosh and Simon Clark’s reigns at Worksop Town.

His finest moments arguably came last season, when he notched a hat-trick in Tigers’ last gasp 5-4 win over Mickleover Sports and netted twice at Hillsborough in the Sheffield Senior Cup final win over Frickley Athletic.

Tweeting his feelings over leaving Sandy Lane the Chesterfield-based forward said: “I would like to confirm that I finalised everything last week and signed, and I’m proud to say I’m a BPA player now.”

“I would also like to show my appreciation to Worksop Town for giving me a home, I’ve enjoyed it there and wish them all the best.”

“I’ve had great support there and they gave me a home and a base to work from, and an arm over the shoulder.”
