Fullarton, speaking on the eve of his side’s trip to Luton Town on Saturday, outlined his aims to the assembled press.

He said: “My aim - and it is my sole aim - is to produce a football team which the fans are proud of.

“I want to win every game and I want everybody to perform to such a high level that everybody involved with the club is so proud of us.

“I fully understand and respect that.

“But there has been a change in environment and it is different to what’s gone before.

“It’s not a reflection on anybody else, it’s just fact.

“It is going to take time to adjust to the demands and the ways of working, which will then bring not only results but performances.

“It’s not an excuse, but it will take time to bed in.

“In the meantime we’ve got to keep the plates spinning in terms of winning games and that’s the aim.”

Meanwhile the Scot praised his players’ work ethic as he continues to implement his ideas on the training ground.
