Craig Denton is preparing an ‘intense’ pre-season for his squad, including a number of players whose identities he’s keeping under wraps.
The Worksop Town squad return for pre-season training on Tuesday next week, by which time Denton may have added new faces.
“I’m hopeful we might get another one or two over the line in the next week or so,” he said.
“It’s got a little bit quiet at the moment so I’ve been doing individual player meetings this week, sorting equipment because we’re back on Tuesday, that will be the start of our pre-season schedule.”
And there’s hard work ahead for the new-look Tigers.
“We’ve put in place quite an intense, vigorous schedule for the first few weeks,” he said.
“It’ll be fitness specific at first and then we’ll roll out our philosophy, how we’re going to play.
“We’re going to have a maximum of 30 players, which will include the players I’ve announced, a handful who played for Worksop last season and a couple of new additions I’m keeping under wraps until the start of the season.
“It’s for them to show me what level they’re at.”
