I’m a Celebrity star Jake Quickenden could feature for Gainsborough Trinity against Scunthorpe, Hull, Blades or Owls

Jake Quickenden, the TV reality star who earlier in the year declined to sign for Gainsborough Trinity, could turn out in a summer friendly for the Blues.

Club chairman Richard Kane hsa said that Quickenden, formerly of Frickley Athletic, now a pop singer, will feature at the Martin and Co Arena in pre-season.

Trinity are due to take on Scunthorpe United, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Hull City in their home friendlies, although it is not yet clear which game will feature the I’m a Celebrity contestant.
