The new Tigers boss is instilling his philosophy into his newly-assembled squad at Sandy Lane.

And he hopes to deliver goals galore to the club as he looks to go on the offensive.

"For us, we prefer to win 5-4 rather than 1-0," he explained.

"People look at us kind of strange when we say that, but the reason is that our philosophy is to play attacking football that's quick, high tempo and keeps the ball on the pitch.

"We feel the best way to defend is to attack and that's what we try to build our systems around.

"So I would hope there's going to be good, attacking football that'll make people proud to come and watch the team."

Those Tigers supporters that Parry wants to impress are one of the main reasons he decided to leave Pontefract Collieries during the close-season and join the Northern Premier League South East Division side.

Having been impressed by the Worksop set-up, and experiencing the atmosphere at first hand, the new manager is delighted to now be a part of it all.

"One of the biggest pulls for us was the fanbase," added Parry, who will be supported by assistant Craig Rouse, head coach Luke Jeffs, first team coach Mark Whitehouse and goalkeeping coach John Hood.

"Worksop is something we've admired from afar, managing against them. It's a massive fanbase and club, we know they're passionate.”

Now Parry and his team not only want to create a winning side, but a winning feeling at Sandy Lane, with the manager calling for everyone to pull together to deliver success.

"As a management team we see ourselves as fans anyway,” he continued.

We manage the team as if we're fans and hopefully we can become as one together and take the club forward together.

"We need everyone on board - including the fans - and we look forward to standing in front of them and giving them positive news and positive performances."
