Hawkins set for Worksop Town return

Worksop Town boss Mark Shaw has confirmed that midfielder Jack Hawkins is set for a return to Sandy Lane.

The Tigers fan favourite, who left the club late last season after failing to hold down a starting position, will link up with the club again once he is eligible to play.

Shaw revealed: “We have a deal in place with Arnold Town that will see Jack Hawkins come back to the club.

“Expect him to be involved once he’s served a three match suspension, which starts on Saturday.”

Hawkins has featured for both Heanor Town and Arnold this season.

Last season he made 31 appearances for Tigers, 16 of those off the bench, and he found the net once.

But it was his energy levels and competitiveness, despite his lack of stature, that endeared him to Worksop fans.
