Girls win on penalties

The Bassetlaw girls started strongly and went in front, but by full-time the side were level at 5-5.

Amber Ellis, Chloe Waugh, Ella Mowbray and a Leanne Neale brace kept Retford in the tie.

Waugh put Retford ahead in extra-time, but in the final minute West Bridgford equalised once more to force penalties.

Two great saves from Abbey Coleman and goals from Macey Wilson, Ellis, and captain Daisy Marsh gave Retford victory and a place in the final in May.

The squad included Sian White, Maisy Whittall, Lily Baker, Ellie Baines, Marisha Holland, Lucy Markham and Player of the Match Bethany Bennett.
