The Wrens went ahead on 15 minutes as a free-kick on the right hand side came in from Matthew Sykes and Matt Plant’s header flew into the top left corner.

It was 2-0 on 64 minutes after a foul by Henshaw gave Rainworth a penalty.

Matthew Sykes makes no mistake from the spot, firing into the left hand corner despite Kennedy’s despairing dive.

Jordan pulled one back on 82 minutes as he slid the ball home from a few yards out after an attempted Henshaw shot.

But it wasn’t enough to prevent a fourth successive defeat and fifth game without a win.

The game at Sandy Lane attracted a crowd of 348.
