Getting the goals for Forrest were J. Piper (four), A. Bull (three), O. Foster (two) and an own goal.

The surprise package in this competition so far is Misterton.

They also remained unbeaten after defeating Marshalls FC 5-4 and now only require a point to secure a place in the final.

In the other game in this competition Blyth were comfortable as they defeated Midtown 9-1 at home.

In the Under 9s League Marshalls Sports maintained their unbeaten record after defeating Saxilby 4-1 with goals from T. Larocca (three) and T. Baxter, Ben Robinson replying for Saxilby.

Gainsborough Trinity also continued their fine form with a 9-1 win over Midtown.

Meanwhile Blyth, another in-form junior football team, had a good 4-1 away win at Marshalls Colts with H. Kay (two), B. Cotton and G. Colton scoring for the visitors and H. Stevens on the mark for Marshalls.

Goals for the hosts came courtesy of A. Haywood (two), L. Llewellyn, S. Palmer and O. Ellis, Ben Newton scoring for Blyton.

W. Daubney with a hat-trick and two from E. Rojas accounted for Forrest’s goals, with C. Green and J. Driver replying for Retford Whites.

Retford Stripes had a good 5-0 home win over Marshalls Colts with goals from T. Mitchell (two), R. Makings, B. Vardy and J. Bradshaw.
