FOOTBALL RUMOURS: Sheffield United and Derby County to name new managers, while could time be running out for Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool?

Following Nigel Clough’s sacking at Sheffield United, a whole host of names have been thrown in to the mix for his replacement.

Bradford City’s Phil Parkinson leads the way with bookmakers SkyBet at 1/5 followed by Mark Warburton (5/1), Nigel Adkins (7/1) and current MK Dons boss Karl Robinson (16/1).

Sven-Goran Eriksson, ex-Blades boss Neil Warnock and newly-appointed Portsmouth manager Paul Cook are all outside bets, along with Paulo Di Canio, Paul Scholes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

While Derby County also find themselves looking for a new manager this morning after they sacked Steve McClaren, who looks a dead certain to be announced Newcastle United manager.
