Elizabeth do double
QUEEN Elizabeth’s High School (right) completed a football double last Thursday, with victories for their Year 7 and Year 8 teams.
The two sides played in the Gainsborough and Lincs Schools Football League finals at Morton Terrace.
The Y7s beat William Farr School 6-2, while their Y8 counterparts needed a penalty shootout to beat Trent Valley Academy, after drawing 3-3.
The High School won 3-2 in the shootout.
A delighted PE teacher Tom Johnson told the Standard: “We were very pleased, there was a lot of hard work from the boys.”
