With the season at the halfway stage, Worksop Borough sit top of Division One and are hoping to retain the title they won last year.
However St Joseph’s and Stanley Street Galacticos are locked in a three way battle with Borough, in a title race that could go down to the final game.
Langold FC are in prime position to win Division Two and you would think only poor form could cost them the title.
However Breakers Wasps, Shireoaks Sports, Harworth Pavilion and Three Lions will all think they can claim one of the top two spots.
Division Three is also a very close league but it’s hard to see anyone knocking Woodsetts Welfare and Langold Lakeside out of the top two spots.
In the third flight on Sunday, Edwardians routed Manton Inn7-2.
Edwardians started at pace and within two minutes were 1-0 up with a finely driven shot from Nathan Gordon.
And the pressure continued, 10 minutes later it was 2-0 when James Cuckson drilled the ball hard across the keeper.
Manton Inn then picked up the pace but couldn’t break down the Edwardian defence and were limited to few chances .
Edwardians made it 3-0 with another well struck shot by Gordon.
Ten minutes before the break Nile Lilley added a fourth, and this provoked a response from Manton whose winger beat several tackles before hitting the net.
Manton Inn started how they finished the second half with a fast goal straight from the off, which knocked Edwardians.
But with Manton Inn chasing the game they were hit on the counter and Cuckson placed home his scored.
Manton Inn continued to battled but the game was put out of their reach by goals from Antony Rae and Marcus Gordon to settled the game.
The game was played in great spirit by both teams and Man of the Match was Stephen West the Edwardians keeper.
In Division Two, Harworth came out on top of a 10 goal thriller against a spirited Kilton side.
With the wind in their favour it was Harworth who took the early lead when Peter Pashley capitalised on a keeper error.
Soon after came a second goal, scored by Connor Brown who used the wind to good effect with a thunderous free-kick from his own half.
Kilton battled hard and through good play pulled a goal back before Brown proved his earlier effort wasn’t a fluke by repeating his first goal.
Shortly after Steve Craddock fired in a free-kick from closer range and then after good play Arron Botterill was played through and he delicately lobbed the advancing keeper.
Kilton showed spirit from the start of the second half claiming a goal back virtually from the re-start.
Botterill then scored his second to put the game out of reach before two late strikes from Kilton made for an edgy finish, but Harworth hung on for a 6-4 victory.
