A MAKESHIFT Worksop Town outfit were beaten by a single goal at title-challengers Bradford Park Avenue last night.
Aiden Savory’s goal a minute before the break separated the two sides, following a mix-up between keeper Jon Worsnop and centre-back James Cotterill.
Worsnop went on to produce a number of fine saves to keep Tigers in the game, but they couldn’t find an equaliser.
Tigers had Danny Bacon, Matt Young, Adam Muller, Sam Duncum, Danny Davidson and Jamie Jackson all missing through injury, and were forced to play two full-backs in midfield.
The result leaves Martin McIntosh’s Worksop side on one point from four outings, with a difficult trip to Ashton United on Saturday and a home game on Monday against North Ferriby United.
