Worksop come into this game on the back of an impressive 0-0 draw at Stamford AFC, where Worksop put in a firm defensive display to take away a point from the Zeeco Stadium on Tuesday night.

Parry believes that Worksop need to make Sandy Lane a fortress due to the difficulty of the league this campaign.

Spalding are a difficult side; they are big and physical, and we know what to expect from them because we have done our research and we have had their games watched,” said Parry.

“It is a league, this year, where there are ten teams that on paper are in the mix for promotion – it is a very strong league this year and Spalding are one of those ten.

“They [Spalding] are strong and despite not having one of the greatest starts, it is up to us to take advantage of any weaknesses that they might have and try and get the three points for Worksop.

“I am pleased with how we have started and we have come to this club to be fighting.

"We haven’t come here to be mediocre, I am here to do the best for Worksop and the fans.

“We have got to go into Spalding looking to take as many points as we can, and we have to try and make our own home a fortress.

“For a side who are looking to be in the mix, you probably have two or three hits at home and the rest you have to win.

“We must make it a fortress, but it is up to us to take the game to Spalding and hopefully score some goals and pick up three points.”

The Tulips currently sit in 17th place in the table after six games.

Spalding won their first two league matches against Sutton Coldfield Town and Carlton Town after exiting the FA Cup in the extra preliminary round, losing 3-1 to Barton Town.

They then lost their next four league fixtures against Loughborough Dynamo, Ilkeston Town, Chasetown and Cleethorpes Town in the league before being beaten by Bedford Town in the FA Trophy last weekend.

Spalding were victorious the last time they visited Sandy Lane, winning 4-1 courtesy of a Joel Brownhill penalty and a Kevin Bastos hat-trick.
