Another good’un for Bassetlaw

Bassetlaw Boys successful season continued with another outstanding performance in their Green’Un Cup away tie against Scarborough Boys.

In bright and sunny but windy conditions on the excellent Scarborough College pitch Bassetlaw set off at a furious pace totally overwhelming all but the Scarborough goalkeeper until Jay Smith, Kieron Hooley and Ryan Dixon beat him with powerful unstoppable strikes.

The score rose to six by the interval after which Scarborough, with the wind now in their favour, defended in depth but were unable to prevent Regan Watkinson taking Bassetlaw’s tally to eight without reply.
