Craig Denton has put together a new-look Worksop Town squad with plenty of new faces, but it’s two of the old favourites coming in for praise thanks to recent displays.
Steve Woolley and Kyle Jordan have both impressed with performances and important goals for the unbeaten Tigers.
“It was really important for me to keep Steve Woolley at the club,” said Denton.
“I worked with him when I was here in a coaching capacity and kept in touch when I was at other clubs.
“He’s a great experienced player. He’s been exceptional for us.
“The same with Kyle.”
Denton revealed that the striker, who has eight goals already, is reaping the rewards of his summer regime.
“I took him to Rainworth at the back end of last season and he did really well.
“I’ve got a really good off field relationship with him and gave him some pointers last season, made it clear he needed to come back fitter and stronger.
“He went and did that, he really takes his fitness seriously, swims, goes to the gym and he’s come back in excellent shape.
“He didn’t miss a game or session in pre-season and it’s testament to his hard work.
“He won the Player of the Month award, his hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
