Flegg flying high in Daytime Triples

Pat Flegg’s M5 team now lead the Monday Daytime Triples after beating Peter Taylor’s M10 team 17-12, which leaves Peter’s team seven points behind with two games in hand.

Geoff Gray’s M1 team didn’t play and are now second.

Jean Barnard’s M9 team just held onto third by beating Barry Grocock’s M11 team 13-12.

Roy Marsh’s M2 beat Peter Mays’ M4 team 17-15 to hang onto fourth but they have been handicapped by a rotten start to the season.

Ken Walker’s W2 team now lead the Wednesday Sets thanks to a vital and resounding 6-0 (18 shots) beating of Pat Flegg’s W4 team who had been championship challengers .

This allows Tom Dubber’s W3 team to stay second despite not playing.

Barry Grocock’s W1 team are now third but with a game in hand on Pat Flegg’s team.

They comfortably won 6-0 (7 shots) over Rita Procter’s W8 team and push Rita’s team down to fifth.

Peter Taylor’s W7 team look destined for the top half after easily beating Tony Scott’s W12 team by 6-0 (15 shots).

Ken Walker’s T5 team have lost the lead of the Thursday Pairs by inexplicably crashing 17 -12 to Chubby Clark’s T9 team who are still fourth from bottom. Bob Baines’ T7 team are once again favourites for the championship following a comfortable 21-10 win over Geoff Gray’s T1 team.

Bob Clifton’s T11 team easily beat Peter Carroll’s newcomers 19-4 to stay in touch and together with Barbara Allen’s T8 team they are the only other teams capable of delivering a challenge.

Geoff Gray’s F1 team are struggling to become Friday Mixed Triples champions again after a heavy 25-10 defeat to Peter Mays’ F2 leading team and F1 now drop to fourth.

Bob Baines’ F6 team stay second with a comfortable 22-11 win over Peter Taylor’s F5 team and Doreen Bee’s F4 team climb to third with a 14-8 win over Audrey Rogers’ F3 team.

After eight successive defeats Chubby Clark’s F8 team comfortably won 22-9 against Rita Procter’s F7 team.
