Eighteen Wheelers

The group left Retford travelling along London Road to Eaton, turning left over to Gamston Woods where the road conditions were very icy.

Extreme caution was a necessity with the speed reduced to 12mph as far as Laneham where conditions improved and normal speed resumed.

The riders proceeded to Whibsey for for refreshments.

The return journey was by way of Harby, Thornby to Dunham Bridge and onto Retford making a total distance of 55 miles.

At last Tuesday’s club monthly meeting the date of the clubs open 10 mile Time Trial was confirmed as 16th March 2014, starting at Sutton on Trent under CCTT regulations.

Also the Thoresby Park cycling weekend will be on 17th and 18th May 2014.

Future Sunday club runs, all starting from Retford Market Square at 9.30 am, will take place on 19th January to Limes Café, 26th January to Rother Valley, and 2nd February for a new riders introductory ride.

On 9th February the ride is to Southwell.
