After a frosty start to the morning the sun made a welcome appearance and with only a gentle easterly breeze some impressive times were recorded.

A personal best from Jordan Skelly saw him comfortably take first place, whilst similar improvement from Matt Hindmarsh saw him record maximum points on the handicap.

The club’s time trials now revert back to their traditional Wednesday evening slot with the first rider due to start at 6:30pm.

Results: 1st Jordan Skelly 12:22 PB, 2nd Matt Hindmarsh 12:53 PB, 3rd Julian Hesp 13:08 PB, 4th Calum Lawson 13:22, 5th Liam Hindmarsh 13:23PB, 6th Trevor Halstead 15:12.

Private trials: Neil Winter 12:27, Paul Brownless 12:30, Steve Dobson 14:00.

Sunday’s Leisure ride was a Figure of Eight.

The morning ride was a 25 mile ride to Marton meeting up with other Gainsborough Aegir cycling club members and riders from other clubs who were racing in the fivemile time trial.

Trevor Halstead, Joe Smith and Colin Smith departed Gainsborough making their way to Lea then progressing through Willingham by Stow, Stow and Stow Park.

Next week’s leisure ride is to Walesby (Lincolnshire).

Riders should meet at Roseway in Gainsborough at 8.50am for a medium to long ride.
