Dolphins open the season
THE 28th Worksop Dolphins Dukeries Open took place at Ponds Fordge on Saturday, with 431 swimmers from around the country taking part.
There were notable performances by a number of Worksop swimmers.
The top male was Matthew Dobson, while Lorna Milligan was the top 14-year-old female, Grace Elcock finishing third.
Hannah Taylor, an up and coming talent, was ninth.

In the 11-year-old female section Lucy Ambrose finished top, with Hannah Butler 10th.
Owen Roberts, 10, came third, Lucy Gratton, 9, also took third and Isabella Munro finished sixth.
In the relays the Worksop girls Under 14 freestyle team won gold, and the girls Under 12 freestyle team took bronze, as did the girls under 10 medley team.
Almost all Worksop Dolphin swimmers achieved personal best performances which bodes well for the forthcoming season.
